Shannon's Fathers Day Present

Here is what Hannah and I made Shan for Father's Day... and didn't Daddy love it!! The five photos are all in a frame together in a line, obviously horizontally... I'm just not that clever on these blog things! Hannah was having a ball, we had to do a bit of learn as we go.... I did the 'I' first and as you can tell I did it too high as when she looked down to see what I was doing she got blue paint all over her chin, not to mention how many times she put her hands in the paint!! The 'A' stood no chance as she had smeared it before i even finished writing the letter!! Maybe we should have got some help!! LOL We have so much fun doing all these crazy things. Hopefully one day when Hannah looks back at all these things she will smile and know that we had a lot of fun!! Shannon we love you very much! You are a wonderful husband and an even better Daddy! Kisses and cuddles to the end of the earth and back!

That Thingo

Here we go..............
I was 17 Years old - and that is scary!! I was in the last year of VCE and starting to get ready for exams!

5 YEARS AGO - I was 22 years old, and in a few weeks time my darling boyfriend would pop the question... October 1st to be precise. We went for lunch on the beach and he wrote in the sand 'will you marry me' that was the most romantic thing i had ever seen! I thought it was a sign of great things to come... LOL but he must have used all his romance in that one day! HAHA

5 MONTHS AGO - Was right near my birthday! It was my first birthday as a mummy! My darling Hannah was 9 months old.

5 THINGS ON MY LIST TO DO TOMORROW
1) Spend some fun time with Hannah
2) Go to mother's group
3) Cook a healthy dinner
4) Yay for Tara's stampin up party
5) Get a good night's sleep - ha ha wishful thinking, that hasn't happened in a loooonng time!

5 BAD HABITS
1) Cleaning my ears out with cotton buds far too much - my ear holes bleed :o(
2) Drinking too much coke
3) Not sleeping
4) Watching too much That 70's Show
5) Staying in my PJ's all day :o)

5 PLACES I HAVE LIVED
1) Kilsyth
2) Croydon South
3) I have only lived at 2 houses
4) maybe u could say.... Shannon's heart awwwww (spew)
5) Some may say I'm from another planet :o

5 THINGS PEOPLE MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME
1) One of my life dreams is to be a photographer
2) I drive myself crazy every night when i cant fall asleep - i often fall asleep around 2 - 3am
3) Since having Hannah i am terrible at making decisions and remembering things
4) I love my veggie patch
5) I have an obsession with Hippopotamus'

Veggie patch

As a family we are getting into the whole self sufficient idea... well trying to HAHA!! We decided that a veggie patch would be a good start, so with the help of the entire McDonald family we made it in one day! Though the preparations leading up to this day were taken care of by Daddy and Hannah... you can see for yourself how much Hannah enjoyed helping!!

What a cheeky little face! Hannah absolutely loves playing in the dirt, in fact there's a pretty funny story... I found a worm and thought it would be interesting to show Hannah the little worm wriggling in my hand, little did i know that she would be sooo interested that she would pick it up and put it straight in her mouth! The look on her face was priceless!! That lil worm must have wriggled and squiggled all over as Hannah willingly let me retrieve it from her mouth... not something she often does!

It was an absolute delight to watch our beautiful little girl getting into all the good things in life... outside in the grass and the mud, having an absolute blast! And as you can tell Hannah is quite partial to a bit of mud herself...

Daddy and Hannah getting the ground ready for our new veggie patch! We are all very excited about it. I have already started growing seeds in a little greenhouse thingy inside... Cant wait to pick our first tasty treat.

What a precious little girl :o) She was soooo happy outside!

This is after a couple hours in the garden.... believe it or not Hannah's pants are MEANT to be a LIGHT grey colour - if you look near her waist you will see what colour they are meant to be! Oh not to mention the shoes..... the are pink and white... can you tell????

Here is Jay being the clever man that he is! Jay is the mastermind behind the construction, hopefully in a few months we will be able to repay him with an abundance of veggies! Oh and we can't for get Charlotte and Jacob who were both great assistants!

VOILA! And look what we have here. It was a team effort this one, we had a mound of compost/soil delivered and everyone pitched in. Shannon and Jason had the shovels and wheelbarrow while Kelli, Sarah, Brooklyn, Jacob and Charlotte had the buckets and what ever scooping tool we could find! Oh and we cant forget chief supervisor Hannah who sat on the chair and made sure we all did our jobs!
